IN 33 PICTURES by Peter Schweitzer

IN SUMMARY:

We read from our books into a microphone plugged into a 1970s solid state wooden guitar amplifier. We sure hope people walking down Division St. heard us.

Sofie made snacks directly out of her book– flavors from "Flavor." There were maple oat scones, eccles cakes, tomato jam, bread and a churn-your-own-butter activity,  Andrew picked several pounds of raspberries from the garden. Ross brought the essential 3 buck Chuck, which we wouldn't have been able to open if Delphine didn't reliably always roll with a wine key.

The sunset was dramatic, the wind blew, we all felt free.

We've been busy producing more copies of our first four titles and preparing to distribute them. We have also steadily been working on the next batch.

The next title released by Two Plum Press will be...

005 // AUTUMN WANDERERS by Andrew Barton

A collection of travel writing– "word polaroids" documenting a trip to Europe last autumn. The re-edited and expanded print version of a blog kept during the trip. It will include 12 color photo plates– one to represent each location visited.

We also have titles by Delphine Bedient, Ross Robbins, Zoe Donnelycolt, Emily Tariela, Christopher Maday, and JaNeill Weseloh in the works.

Portland Zine Symposium

Two Plum Press tabled at this year's Portland Zine Symposium August 10th & 11th, and the slim volume series was debuted there!

The event culminated 5 solid months of editing, designing, experimenting, testing, failing, reconfiguring, printing, cutting, folding, and everything in between.

We had limited supply of each title, and nearly sold out of all of them. Thanks to everyone who looked at the books, asked questions, made purchases, shared a moment with me under those horrid fluorescent lights.
