Two Plum reader Alexandra Garcia put together this sweet lil book about the Washington State grain scene, celebrating growers and millers and bakers all across the region. The book is a collection of interviews with useful production schedule lists (i.e. “Saturdays: Scandinavian Rye”), essays, and recipes celebrating all things grain in Washington State. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the WSU Breadlab, an organization whose funding was recently compromised. WSU Breadlab is hosting a Buckwheat Festival on August 5th, and the book will debut there – eventually being sold in our bookshop as well.
